How can they only give 1 slot?If its a "stand alone" game by right they should give 4 or at least 2.

stand alone = 4 slots

link ch.1/2 = 6 slots

that was the whole big news last night...

added: The title does say "Is there a petition for 2 new slots instead of 1?"

you've posted more than anyone in the thread (I don't even have to bother counting), you usually post with a lot of white space a few lines each time, and this was originally a petition about airing some grievances over # of character slots.

instead you and brethern mainly hijacked it, chose not to read parts of peoples posts, and really, why is anyone posting here still? Do we now need your continued (and skewed) play by play of other threads?

Those disappointed by the 2 slots linked is practically at 50% and a strong majority. Those that will not buy or undecided are over 30%.

It really seems you're looking for nothing than post count here and saying the same thing (or really nothing) most of the time. I'm not sure why you're still here unless you enjoy seeing what you feel is the fruits of your labors (again, 'why' comes to mind) as yes, only 2 more slots have come about.

I've asked the moderator to close it as there really is nothing left for this thread. Btw simply calling you a troll isn't trolling. Good news is since ANet is moving ahead with 6 slots, I'll be moving on as Factions moves in, so that should make you happy - ANet has decided they need more like you, not me.

You know, all these people complaining about not having enough slots - why did you buy Guild Wars in the first place?

Did you not know there were only 4 slots and 6 Professions?

So now you have 6 slots for 8 professions.... as has been pointed out, the ratio has gotten better, not worse.

The explanation that Anet did not want (or cannot afford) to give 4 slots per linked Chapter will suffice for me.

Gaile Gray: Consider GW one game, and Factions the other, as they are. Consider them both halves of a great whole. If you have GW, you have GW content only, and 4 slots. If you have Factions, you have Factions content only. If you have both, linked, you have 6 slots, with access for all_6_slots to BOTH games. You can keep them seperate, but linking is better, because you have 6 with twice the content. As opposted to four with 1/2 the content each. If it makes sense to you, thank you. I have to admit, I took 10 minutes of Mike O'Brien's time to learn it. I didn't understand the 6 x 100% is greater than 4 x 50%, you see?

Linking is a very important factor. You MUST decide to link, or not link, and cannot change later. I would heartily recommend that you consider the advantages to both BEFORE you make a decision. We cannot merge accounts, so if you set up a seperate account, we can't fix it later. And that of course means that your Factions account characters cannot enter Tyria.
